As problems with oil drilling and oil consumption become more and more prevalent, people are looking for alternatives to regular cars. We've become more aware of the negative effects of an all-consuming dependence on fossil fuels and therefore most of us are looking for cars with higher gas mileage or alternative fuel sources. Many car manufacturers have looked to fill that need by creating hybrid cars: half electric, half gasoline powered. If you are considering buying or renting a hybrid, no doubt you'd like to know the pros and cons of these machines.
As if the times were not hard enough, the Toyota Company had to come along and announce a fairly important flaw in the design of many of their 08-10' vehicle models. With the recalls currently going into affect, there are other major vehicle manufacturers that will be able to see a significant gain in overall business. The Ford Company seems to be next in line as the leader to bypass the Toyota line and leave them in the dust!
With Toyota announcing that thousands of their cars may have faulty gas pedals, the Ford Company has taken the opportunity to catch up. Before the initial recall announcement, there were very close numbers in sales and production between the Toyota and Ford Companies. Now it seems that over the next few months, Ford will pull out in the lead while Toyota works to fix more than 5 million newly recalled vehicles.
We did see a very large rise last year after the Ford bailout when the Ford Company decided to slash many of their prices as well as stop production on a number of vehicles that were not selling as often. These small ad simple changes have helped the company to create better cars and slowly but surely build vehicles that are not only safe, but comfortable and fun to drive as well.
All major vehicle manufacturers have not reported any major sales after Toyota announced its latest recalls. However, as time goes on and the recalls continue, many consumers are going to be turned off to the Toyota name, simply because of bad production. Ford has no desire to sneak in and swipe any loyal customers that the Toyota Company already has. Other major manufacturers should also see some higher sales, especially the Japanese market, which will still be able to make millions from other brands and models they have created and built.
On top of all of this, Ford is still pushing through with a number of new economically friendly cars that will definitely help to make the car race interesting. There are a number of widely known hybrid and electric cars being produced by major motor companies in order to boost sales and create less pollution in major cities. Those who continue to own Toyota cars are still confused and unsure about driving around on the road and could be likely to turn to Ford for a new set of wheels. With all of this going on, it seems that the Ford Motor Co. is really going to see some improvement and a much better year lies ahead!
